RIHANNSU SYNTAX
INTRODUCTION TO RIHANNSU SYNTAX
The syntax spelled out in this section varies from easy to understand to just about impossible to decipher unless you are a language expert. Do what you can, starting out with simple words inserted into your posts, poetry and stories and gradually work your way up to sentences.

Nouns

Group I Plural-in-en-vher
Group II Singular(No suffix)-m-vha
Group II Plural-r-en-vher
Group III Singular(No suffix)-ai-evha
Group III Plural-ir-en-evher
Nouns have three cases, Nominative (for subject and object), Possessive (ownership), and Dative (for Indirect Object).

Proper Nouns
Rihannsu place very high value on names, and so all Proper Nouns (Names of People, Places, Elements) modify differently than common nouns..

Common Nouns
There are three groups of common nouns, depending on what the noun ends in. Each group has different endings.
Group I = nouns ending in i or e
Group II = nouns ending in a, o, u
Group III = nouns ending in a consonant sound
Noun Endings (suffixes) "-" shows where noun is placed

Prefixes Used Only for Proper Names
Never to be used with common nouns to create a Name such as "Lhiess ir-Aihai" unless "aihai" (prairie) is an actual NAME of a region. It is improper to use it to mean "from the prairie" or "from the sea" or any other similar usage.
t'- Female Clan Name (used in third Name)
T'-Female honorific in elder Firstnames, esp in older Vulcans
tr'- Male Clan Name (used in third Name)
S'- Male honorific, used in elder Firstnames, esp Vulcan
i - common form of city-name (used in second Name)
ir - common form of region-name (used in second Name) used by those from rural areas
ei- if person is from a specific city or as common elder prefix (in second name). Used when one changes Names due to an important event.
e- common marriage-name prefix (used in second Name), used in place of former clan-name prefix.

VOCATIVES
Vocatives are names spoken when addressing someone, as in their title or their name. They occur at the beginning or the end of a sentence.
Examples: (Riov, cloak disengaging.) (Cloak disengaging, Riov)

IRREGULAR NOUNS
These nouns have their own special forms and do not fit the groupings listed above.

Pronouns
There are five basic pronouns: I, You, He, She & It (gender neuter).

PersonNom (S)Nom (P)Pos (S)Pos (P)Dat (S)Dat (P)
1st (I)arhemmnean (we)arham (my)mnei (our)arvha (to me)mnevher (to us)

3rd (It)aeilloan (they)aeim (its)lloannen (theirs)aeivha (to it)lloannher (to those)
Many of these are shortened (as contractions) and added to the beginning of the words they apply to, especially when using the possessive form:
Example: arh'kaevra (my heart). Note the use of an apostrophe ( ' ) when letters are omitted.

Converting Nouns to Adjectives
The prefix ih' added to any noun can be used as an adjective to describe an entity that possesses some or all of the qualities of that entity. (Example: ih'varuul (scoundrel-like)

Verbs
Verbs have two tenses: Past and Present. An action which occurs in the future uses the present tense plus a time indicator:

Examples:
(Future) Rhi siuren dha arhem llaiuri (In five minutes I will be dying)
(Present) Arhem llaiuri (I am dying)
Verbs have three aspects: Common, Progressive, and Completed.

Examples:
In the Present tense: Arhem enaere (I run), Arhem enaereri (I am running), Arhem enaerer (I have run)
In the Past tense: Arhem enaeren (I ran), Arhem enaereari (I was running), Arhem enaerear (I had run)
Verbs have four moods: Indicative (an action), Negative (action did not occur), Subjunctive (action might occur), and Imperative (a command)

Examples:
In the present tense: enaere (run), enaerekhe (won't/don't run), enaerete (might have run), enaereu (Run!) enaerei (Run! To inferior) enaeren (Run! To superior)
In the Past tense: enaeren (ran), enaereakhe (didn't run), enaereate (might not have run), (no imperative in Past tense)[/b]

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Sileia T'Sai is a Vulcan Starfleet officer who joined Starfleet in 2289, serving throughout the latter half of the 23rd century, the 24th century and into the 25th. A skilled scientist, applied engineer and tactician, T'Sai has served multiple stations with distinction through a long and varied career in Starfleet. In 2420, T'Sai was placed as second in command of the United Sector Taskforce, a division of the 5th Fleet, now operating as part of the Khitomer Alliance, providing rapid response and aid throughout most of the Alpha and Beta quadrants.

Early Life
T'Sai took the then still rare choice of opting to enter Starfleet Academy as opposed to the Vulcan Science Academy, much to her peers chagrin. Despite initially focusing on scientific pursuits in her early academy years, she pivoted towards Navigation and Operations academy courses aiming to provide a well rounded bridge officer, taking an elective course on Starship weaponry in 2293, following the increased tensions expecting the projected collapse of the Klingon Empire, following the Praxis incident.

Academy Graduation and Early Career

Ensign T'Sai, 2293
T'Sai's first posting following the Academy was to the U.S.S. Drake, an aging Einstein-class vessel. The Drake was assigned to the Delta Volanis Cluster, carrying out stellar mapping and planetary surveys. The Drake was successful in cataloguing 47 star systems during her five year mission. Serving as one of the Drake's Astrophysicist's, T'Sai was responsible primarily for stellar research, of note, the 4449 Monocerotis star was reclassified as a M1 V red dwarf, long before thought to have been a Class K star.

In 2298, the Drake was reassigned to the Hromi cluster, taking supplies and materials from the decommissioned defence outposts along the Klingon border to build science and research stations to study the nebula of the region and establish a mining presence in a suspected former dilithium nursery, projected to supply a large portion of the Federation's dilithium for the next 20 years.

Following an Engineering incident leading to a ruptured warp plasma channel in 2304, claiming the lives of 12 crew, the Drake was slated to be decommissioned the following year. In 2305, T'Sai transferred with numerous junior crew to the U.S.S. Bennington, a recently constructed Excelsior class. As part of the Federation's second golden age of exploration, the Bennington was a frequent fixture in the Alpha Quadrant around the border of Federation and Tholian space.

No known vessel is capable of surviving these speeds as the slipstream drive would rip itself from its housing causing catastrophic damage to the Quantum Slipstream system as well as surrounding systems and ship. History
Gamma Quadrant
Commissioned in 2419, the USS Cassini was the first Titan Class vessel to complete construction. Cassini was entrusted to a new, yet capable commander, Captain Tellara sh'Zarath. After her shakedown, Cassini was dispatched on a negotiated six month mission to the Gamma Quadrant, deep within Dominion space to investigate Preserver ruins with a joint Federation/Romulan and Dominion expedition.

The mission was ultimately unsuccessful in locating Preserver ruins, the trail seemingly running cold, however was credited in locating numerous sites of archaeological interest, which the Federation council entered in negotiations with Dominion Command for a renewed access period to investigate further.

Return to the Beta Quadrant
House Mo'Kai's Discovery
The Cassini returned to the Beta Quadrant in late 2419, rejoining the 38th Fleet as it had originally been slated for. The Cassini was quickly pressed to work within the Briar Patch where along with a taskforce of 38th Fleet vessels, she was assigned to investigate a colony of P.Stellaviatori within the Briar Patch.

During the ensuing firefight with hostile Klingon vessels, Cassini attempted a so called "Riker Manoeuvre" at close range to the U.S.S. Endeavour. Unfortunately, due to the volatile nature of the Briar Patch, a Klingon ship ignited the metreon gas cloud, engulfing the Endeavour and Cassini in an interstellar eruption that threatened to destroy the entire patch. The Cassini was successful in stopping the wave, however the resulting damage destroyed the starboard ramscoop, her first major damage since construction, requiring a two week period in drydock. After her repairs, Cassini participated in multiple other skirmishes with House Mo'Kai, including participating in a taskforce to head off a Mo'Kai attack fleet headed for the U.S.S. Enterprise and I.K.S. Bortasqu'. Cassini's improved defensive and tactical systems proved highly effective in the skirmish, resulting in only minor damage to the improved shielding systems, with no hull damage.

Technical Data
Physical Arrangement and Crew Support
Measuring at over 450 meters and with 18 decks, the design of the Titan-class consisted of two hull sections: an oval-shaped primary hull and a secondary hull which mounted two warp nacelles. Cassini was designed to carry a standard compliment of 350 officers and crew. In an emergency situation, the Titan-class was rated to carry up to 1,250 passengers for a limited duration.

While the Cassini was rated as a long range explorer-type, accommodations for civilian families were limited on the Cassini. Typically being limited to scientific and facilities contractors rather than crew families. A range of typical amenities were available to the ship's crew, including a number of holodecks and recreational facilities. Cassini possessed one full sickbay with all facilities while also maintaining smaller triage areas and a sizable array of science labs.

Translatteral Transporter System
The Cassini was equipped with a Translatteral Transporter System which has two main improvements over the standard Transporter system.

First, the transport cycle length is reduced from 5 seconds, to 3 seconds, attributed due to enhanced targeting sensors and increased emitter bandwidth. Secondly, the Translatteral Transporter can allow effective beaming through shields so long as the emitter frequency was synchronised with the shield frequencies of both the originating pad and destination. Keeping synchronization with the Cassini's shield frequency was an easy task, and in most cases the system was only optimised to allow transport through the Cassini's shield arrays.

While the system may be used to transport through the shields of a hostile or friendly target, the Cassini's shield array must also be matched to the frequency of the destination array, which has the unfortunate result of increasing effective shield penetration from hostile craft.

Command and Control Systems
The computer systems aboard the Titan-class were based on isolinear circuitry, with additional bio-neural gel packs positioned throughout the vessel. The ship employed two computer cores, one each in the primary and secondary hulls. Operational control of the ship was provided by the main bridge, located on Deck 1. While Titan-class ships were capable of saucer separation, the process would be destructive and irreversible without the support of a starbase.
Cassini Bridge Layout

Propulsion & Power Generation
Cassini was equipped with a standard Class 12 matter/antimatter warp drive, of General Electric ADS/03 specification, with an average output of 1650 Cochrane. Her standard cruising velocity was Warp 7.5, with a maximum cruise of up to Transwarp 12.84. Cassini was rated for a top speed of Transwarp 13 for a period of up to 1 hour. Sublight propulsion was achieved primarily through the use of the vessel's large twin impulse engines, located on the trailing edge of the primary hull. Fine manoeuvring control was provided by RCS Thrusters.

The warp core serves as the primary source of power for all ship systems, supplanted by the vessel's conventional deuterium fusion and impulse reactors.

Stealth Systems
The Cassini was equipped with state of the art stealth technology, without resorting to cloaking devices not permitted under the Treaty of Algeron. These technologies are only effective at sublight speeds, with any acceleration to or deacceleration from warp speeds being noticeable due to the burst of gamma radiation associated with the "warp flash".

Dedicated Static Warp Field Generators
Smaller than the warp coils found within the nacelles and integral to the Cassini's stealth systems, the dedicated Static Warp Field Generators create subspace fields which the Cassini "falls into", allowing it to move without the use of heat-emitting thrusters.

Each of the sixteen generators were rated up to 500 millicochrane allowing an effective total field distortion of 8 Cochrane thus allowing an effective top speed of Warp 1.8 in any direction. To maintain the stealth profile afforded by this configuration however, speeds should be kept under 0.75c. When stationary, only four emitters at 25% power would be required to maintain subspace field integrity, with the resultant 0.5 Cochrane field distortion observed to blend in completely with typical gravitational subspace distortions found within a star systems heliosphere.

An additional effect of this subspace distortion means that 89% of total EM emissions from the Cassini would register as background radiation once they have passed back through the subspace barrier layer. These can be mitigated further by operating in traditional silent running modes to reduce total EM output.

The fields were also capable of lowering the Cassini's effective mass, allowing planetary entry and egress where other vessels of a similar classification and weight would be unable to enter without risking a loss of hull integrity.

Internal Emission Sinks
In combination with the above, an extensive array of lithium sinks located within the computer cores and beneath the exterior hull collect 98% of all IR emissions through an extensive Helium-3 distribution network surrounding the vessels primary and exterior systems.

The Cassini was capable of operating in full silent running to allow passive observation of a star system for up to 3 days, and would be able to operate in an active scanning role for 4 hours before the vessel's heatsinks begin to emit lethal levels of heat into the habitable area.

Tactical & Defensive Systems
In addition to advanced regenerative deflector shielding and ablative hull armor, Cassini also carries an impressive array of weaponry for her class.

Two dorsal phaser arrays were located on the primary hull, allowing 250° coverage with another four further dorsal aft phaser arrays (two on the secondary hull, two on the nacelle pylons) providing the remaining 110° dorsal coverage. A set of additional phaser arrays were installed in the mission pod and above the shuttlebay, the former with its own 360° coverage facing directly above while the latter faces aft. On the ventral side, a further two phaser arrays were located on the primary hull, with two also located on the nacelle pylons, mirroring the locations and coverage of the dorsal arrays. In the center ventral section of the engineering hull was another phaser array, providing 360° coverage directly below. A final point phaser array was located between the two front torpedo tubes providing an effective last moment screen covering the deflector dish.

Two twin-tube photon torpedo launchers (one facing fore, one aft) were present at the midline of the secondary hull, connected to a singular magazine holding a maximum of 300 torpedoes, probes and other heavy armaments.

FSS6-X Cyclic Regenerative Shielding (CRS) Array
The Cassini was also equipped with an experimental FSS6-X Cyclic Regenerative Shielding (CRS) Array. Developed in joint partnership with Dominion Engineers, the CRS attempts to solve the higher-end limitations of traditional deflector shielding technologies. Traditional deflector shielding cannot completely block high energy discharges such as kinetic forces from torpedo impacts or volatile energies from interstellar phenomenon.

The CRS violently slaps aside rather than halting incoming linear force. By rotationally firing their graviton polarity projectors, ships equipped with the CRS create rapidly oscillating deflector screens instead of static ones. Shooting through the CRS was like trying to shoot at a target inside a spinning ball.

Significant drawbacks to current CRS configuration prevent its use on anything other than destroyers, frigates and smaller craft. Its many high-frequency sensors and emitters require frequent maintenance and replacement. A partially damaged CRS can endanger its operator, who would be surrounded by rotating graviton fields skewing in unpredictable directions. Fortunately, if an emitter were to be damaged, the CRS corrects to become a traditional shield array, a safety feature that makes it most effective during opening volleys.

Auxiliary Spacecraft
The Cassini was equipped with a single large shuttlebay, located along the aft engineering hull of the vessel. In addition eight large landing pads behind the shuttlebay were able accommodate several runabout-type vessels, and the entire section may be covered in a forcefield to support shirt sleeves maintenance of landed vessels, however this area was not intended to such transport craft at anything other than sublight speeds.

Cassini, carried six Type 8 shuttlecraft, and four "Workbee" pods as her standard complement of smallcraft, with an additional two large Type 11 Shuttles, two Argo Runabouts and a singular Delta class Runabout.

Commissioned in 2386, the Poseidon was constructed following the loss of the Regent class pathfinder starship Poseidon. As she began construction in the middle of the Sovereign classes successful run, she received many of the upgrades the Enterprise had received during her refit in this year as well, amongst these upgrades were an advanced multi-spectral sensor array, first seen on the Luna class and improvements to the warp engine systems.

Following her shakedown, the Poseidon was assigned to the 2nd Fleet under the command of Captain Timothy Oliver. She was primarily assigned to patrols of the Orion sector, tasked with investigating Orion Syndicate operations and continuing the crackdown that was ending syndicate operations in the region.

The Poseidon was also assigned to exploration missions under a joint exploration initiative with the reformed Romulan government, these missions took the Poseidon as far as the Unroth sector, to systems formerly within the Neutral Zone.

However in June 2387, the Poseidon was on such an exploration mission with the I.R.W. Decius during the collapse of the Hobus star and suffered extensive damage with many members of the crew suffering radiation poisoning. The Poseidon was towed to Starbase 39 where an extensive operation was carried out to repair and decontaminate the vessel. In 2389, those efforts were concluded and the majority of the original crew returned to service alongside the Poseidon.

Over the next five years, the Poseidon was involved in numerous Humanitarian and Peacekeeping missions within Romulan space, however in 2394, the Poseidon and the remaining taskforce is expelled from Romulan space by the new senate. The Poseidon is assigned to the Ponor sector, patrolling the region of the former Neutral Zone.

In 2396, after two years of uneventful patrols, Poseidon was reassigned to deep space exploration into the greater beta quadrant towards the galactic core. Captain Oliver stood down during this time and the Poseidon was placed under command of Captain Kai Agati.

While most of the space had previously been surveyed, the Poseidon was successful in the discovery of six new star systems and carried out two first contact missions.

In 2400, the Poseidon was recalled to undergo a major refit ahead of schedule with new defensive systems installed, doubling the vessel's coverage of ablative armour, as well as improved sensor suites. The three month refit is completed swiftly and Poseidon is pressed back to service patrolling the former Romulan Neutral Zone, only engaging in minor disputes, otherwise returning to a peaceful mission of distributing aid supplies to break away Romulan colonies.

In 2404, with the outbreak of war between the Klingon empire and Federation, the Poseidon was reassigned to the Romulan/Klingon border acting in a defensive role.

Emperor J'mpok seeks swift end to Klingon Conflict
FIRST CITY, QO'NOS - It has been almost a year since the outbreak of the Klingon Civil War, which spilled into an intergalactic incident when the renegade matriarch of House Mo'Kai, J'Ula carried out a terrorist attack at Camp Khitomer resulting in the deaths of hundreds of Alliance personnel and diplomats, including Ambassador Surah of the Deferi as well as destroying a Federation Starbase in the Seeda system with the loss of 20,000 Starfleet personnel and civilians.

Many Klingon houses took up arms in support of J'Ula in defiance of then Chancellor J'mpok who has since dissolved the Klingon High Council and anointed himself as Emperor of the Klingon Empire, a position which has not been held since the loss of Emperor Kahless in the midst of the Iconian War. Emperor J'mpok has vowed to destroy any rebellious elements that defy the will of the empire, in a move that has not gone uncritized by Federation observers.

"Emperor J'mpok is making very aggressive yet successful movements from a relatively weakened position as many great houses have essentially retreated from the Empire to defend their own holdings or to join House Mo'Kai's rebellion," said Sirt Juka, an Ambassador from the Cardassian Union "there's some parallels to Chancellor Gowron's ambitions of the 2370s with many hard-line imperialists within the empire advocating for stronger shows of force. We look cautiously to the Federation to maintain the peace."

Starfleet cites faulty Translation Matrix to blame for U.S.S. Ajax's breach of Interstellar Boundary
REGULA SYSTEM, MUTARA SECTOR - In a bizarre string of events, surrounding the U.S.S. Ajax's encroachment upon the Nausicaan border, Starfleet sources are now claiming that the unintentional crossing was caused by a faulty translation matrix resulting in the Commanding Officer issuing an order to cross the border.

The U.S.S. Ajax, which is part of a taskforce of 25th Fleet vessels has been engaged in anti-piracy and border protection patrols for the past three months, had initially claimed that the vessel was perusing a suspected pirate before crossing three light years into the Nausicaan border. The Nausicaan government however insists that the Ajax crossed the border while not actively pursuing a vessel and maintaining position for 4 hours before being escorted by two Nausicaan destroyers. No weapon fire was exchanged during the incident.

While Nausicaan forces as a whole have been assimilated within the Klingon Empire, a number of independent planets and sectors do still maintain majority control of their affairs.

The crew of the Ajax and the Commanders of the taskforce have all declined to comment.

Tholian incursion in Romulan space repelled by R.R.W. Lleiset
AZURE NEBULA, AZURE SECTOR - A recent incursion of Tholian vessels into Romulan space has been successfully repelled by the R.R.W. Lleiset within the Azure Nebula. It is unclear why the Tholians have launched an attack and the isolationist Tholian Assembly is not responding to questioning.

Some unconfirmed reports suggest that the attacks within the Azure Nebula may have been a distraction from the Tholians main goal of a Reman starbase known as "The Vault" which has also seen fighting in recent days. Tholian attackers have harassed the Romulan Republic ever since its founding, with the Assembly itself remaining quiet on the matters.

Astrometrics / Bilok Intol Field

Bilok Intol Field
Anomalous Region, Alpha Quadrant

First discovered in 2327, the Bilok Intol Field is an anomalous region of space located on the edge of the Black Cluster in Sector 97 of the Alpha Quadrant, also known as the Antos sector. Partially obscured to optical observation and entirely obscured to subspace permeation, the Bilok Intol Field has, as of 2420, remained unexplored.

Recent developments in joint efforts with Lukari and Kentari scientists investigating the so-called 'Dranuur Anomaly' have led to sensor improvements in the short and medium range allowing partial mapping of this region to be completed. Of note, a star system has recently been found within the field, however due to the lack of subspace permeation, subspace fields dissipate near immediately upon contact with the field which extends far beyond the stars heliosphere, preventing exploration of the system.

Whilst the effects are similar to that of the Dranuur Anomaly, the Dranuur Anomaly has no effect on high band subspace fields, such as those created by warp engines, affecting only low band communication and sensor data, additionally, the Dranuur Anomaly does not adversely affect optical observations, resulting instead in a purple hue surrounding the system, but not present within it. It is possible the effects exhibited by the Dranuur Anomaly are either an early stage or perhaps a late stage of the same anomaly affecting the Bilok Intol Field, but at this stage there is not enough information to determine that.

Early observations from the edge of the star system show a binary star system with at least 4 observable planets. Starbase 514, SB-514 is being utilized as a staging area for further research into this system under the Khitomer Alliance Research Directorate.

MISSION: Complete Minor Refit of Agamemnon Systems

OUTCOME: Refit complete, EPS taps refit to 2421 standards.

KEY PERSONNEL:

CAPT Ijhlab, Phill'min
LCDR Ramai, M'Gia
NARRATIVE: The Agamemnon has pulled into Starbase 514 for a minor refit of secondary systems, and our EPS taps, which were not upgraded with the original refit following our arrival here due to the complexities of our unique Warp Core design.

Through slight reverse engineering and more than a few communications with staff at the UP fleet yard, Starbase 514 engineers have been able to facilitate an upgrade at last. Flow regulators are handling the increased plasma flow within expected limits and EPS waveguides are green across the board. Total time for install was 5 hours, and system was restored within a 2 hour window. The next time we return to port, I owe my staff a meal.

RECOMMENDATION: No action necessary, refit complete with minimal downtime

Starbase 514 is a Federation Starbase currently in service as the headquarters of the United Sector Taskforce and a major Alliance facility in Sector 97 of the Alpha Quadrant. Constructed in 2354, the Starbase has received multiple refits and upgrades over her service so far, including some of the latest defensive, scientific and medical facilities.

Designed with high modularity and interoperability the Starbase has maintained the overall same size and shape through its extensive life, however in more recent years it has taken on much heavier armour as a result of tensions in the area from both True Way and Breen agitators.

ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION

Originally constructed in 2354, Starbase 514 was envisioned as a research station, tasked with survey of the nearby Black Cluster, an anomaly which was formed about nine billion years ago believed to be the result of hundreds of collapsed protostars within a dense star cluster.

Deep within the Alpha Quadrant, Starbase 514 was often used as a staging ground for expeditions and as a resource hub, supporting the region's Federation colonies, and providing relief support to nearby Deep Space 3.

Cardassian city of Lakarian requests assistance following Hur'q attack

GALAXY | BREAKING NEWS

Talua Dalis | 96349.4

Within the last month, a small contingent of Cardassian Defence Force vessels arrived at a Federation Starbase on the Klingon border, Deep Space Seven. GNN sources identified the leader of the group as Gul Drokan, a minor politician within the local government of Lakarian city who had been a strong advocate for first rebuilding critical infrastructure in industrial and agricultural sectors rather than the priority reconstruction of administrative infrastructure.

When questioned, Rear Admiral T’Sai, confirmed that a meeting had taken place, but that no agreement had been reached, and diplomatic channels were being investigated to ensure the equal distribution of aid within all appropriate treaties and to the satisfaction of all appropriate governments.

One concern raised by Federation speculators is that an underhanded action by someone holding a military rank to circumnavigate the Detapa Council harkens back to a dangerous precedent where the civilian government was overtaken by a military council and significant rebuilding of Cardassian militaries took place. However, Romulan speculators instead believe that the needs of the populace must be put in front of politics, to prevent needless loss of life. Klingon speculators are remaining silent on this matter.

Lakarian City is perhaps most well known for being levelled in the final days of the Dominion War, a cultural icon of Cardassia, the Dominion’s assault was believed to be a demoralising action, however it ultimately led to Cardassia overthrowing the Dominion at grave cost of 800 million lives, 200 million of which were the civilian populace of Lakarian City. A memorial erected in 2376 stands testament to the bravery and determination of those who followed Corat Damar.

Following the bombardment, large deposits of minerals and fertile soils had been released and during rebuilding, Lakarian City had been transformed into a thriving agricultural metropolis, attracting the attention of True Way terrorists in 2408, who bombed irrigation controls causing minor flooding and ruined harvests.

More recently however, during the Hur’q assault on the Alpha and Beta quadrant, these newfound resources were a prime target for the Hur’q, leading to further damage and demoralisation of the area. Renja Dromal, a citizen of Lakarian City said “Every time we rebuild, our work is undone, the Federation said they would protect us, but not one Federation ship was seen above Cardassia as the Hur’q attacked, these false promises make it hard to believe we can thrive under this treaty.”
